CELEBRATING THE WINDRUSH GENERATION IN BRIXTON

Join us at Brixton House for a special event honouring the incredible contributions of the Windrush Generation. Let’s come together to celebrate their legacy and the impact they have had on our community. This in-person gathering will be a fantastic opportunity to connect, share stories, and show our appreciation. Don’t miss out on this meaningful event!

This in-person event commemorates the many Empire Windrush passengers who settled in the area, some of whom were accommodated at Clapham South Deep Shelter from 22 June 1948. Join us as we honour unsung heroes, including Oswald Denniston, Lucilda Harris, Irwin Wong, and others.
